It was just reecently, when I went to buy a water purifier. About 7-8 representatives standing in the Home Improvement shop and none of them bother to come forward and help me. It was then when a gentlemen walked up to me and asked what I was looking for. I looked at him for 2 mins to decide whether its the salesman or a helpful passerby asking this question. I finally decided to tell him what i wanted. He showed me 5 differnet water purifiers. He not only sold me the best one but also convienced me to come back to the same shop for any home improvement products. I was convienced the salesman was great, soft spoken, witty and thorough with his work. I asked his name and left. It was just that night, I mentioned this incident to my husband and realised he was the owner of that store who used all his charming skills to convert a dissatisfied customer to a extremely satisfied consumer. I finally realised, to sell something, you need to feel the importance of money you would earn from that sale. Whether its the owner or the salesman they need to work on the same concept.
